Celebrating Sean Mullen’s Legacy and the Start of a New Creative Chapter

Since joining Hiebing in 2023, Kevin has led standout campaigns for clients like ITW, Breyer Horses and Chuy’s. Known for his sharp thinking, collaborative spirit and design sensibility, Kevin has a gift for turning ideas into work that connects deeply with audiences while bringing teams together in the process.

From sketching cartoons in his early days to honing a modern, distinctive design sensibility across Midwest agencies, Kevin has always been guided by a mix of creativity and curiosity. At Hiebing, he’s blended that with his talent for uniting teams, sparking energy in brainstorms and ensuring every project has the heart and boldness to make an impact. Now, as he steps up to lead our creative team, Kevin is ready to push our creative even further—ushering in a new era of curiosity, courage and bold storytelling at Hiebing.

This transition also marks the retirement of Sean Mullen, who for 24 years shaped Hiebing’s creative culture with curiosity, kindness and wit. Sean leaves behind an incredible legacy (and a lot of grateful colleagues). Sean has officially traded his editing pen for bike handlebars, and our team wanted to say goodbye.

With Kevin at the helm, the future of Hiebing’s creative is set to be as fearless as its past—one bold idea at a time.
