Dane County and Madison get lots of kudos for being a great place to live. But all of us, here and everywhere, hit some rough patches in life. And that’s when a strong community rallies to lend a hand.

A leader of our community is United Way of Dane County, which assembles its powerful partner agencies — including Hiebing — to pull resources together to focus on the area’s toughest challenges, including poverty. The primary objective: to increase charitable giving to overcome them.

Using a theme of “We Can Overcome Poverty,” Hiebing was honored to tell the stories of three families who were assisted by United Way of Dane County and its affiliated agencies.

A focus on housing, education and employment resources ensured these families could gain stability and thrive. The supportive resources are a direct result of the charitable giving of community members.

The resulting video series, out-of-home billboard, poster series and hand-outs emotionally engage and inform the viewer about the unstoppable force that comes from people helping people while working to inspire donations for United Way of Dane County.
